About Us — Our Story, Mission, Vision, Values & Team | Lamicare DRO Uganda
About Us

A society where every person with a disability is recognized, valued, and empowered.

LAMICARE DRO Uganda was born from a simple yet powerful collective vision: a society where every person with a disability is recognized, valued, and empowered. We saw a gap between the promise of equality and the reality of daily life for many in our communities.

Who We Are

Community-rooted. Rights-driven. Led by lived experience.

LAMICARE DRO Uganda is a non-governmental, non-profit, community-based organization operating in the heart of Uganda. We were born from a collective vision of a society where disability is not a barrier, but a part of human diversity.

We work alongside persons with disabilities (PWDs) to break down barriers, advocate for rights, and build inclusive communities. We are a community-based organization in Uganda dedicated to ensuring that every person with a disability is recognized, valued, and empowered to live a life of dignity.
