Minimum representation of persons with disabilities on our Board
Community-rooted governance. Rigorous accountability.
Lamicare DRO Uganda is deeply rooted in the principle that true change comes from centring the voices and leadership of persons with disabilities. Our membership structure includes significant representation of persons with disabilities on our Board of Directors — reflecting this commitment in practice, not just in policy.
We operate with transparency and accountability. Our financial management is rigorous and subject to independent audits. We maintain zero tolerance for corruption and fraud, with robust policies on conflicts of interest and data privacy.
Board of Directors.
Strategic oversight, accountability, and a rights-based vision for disability inclusion.
Management Team.
Day-to-day leadership of programmes, partnerships, advocacy and organisational development.
Leadership grounded in lived experience.
Persons with disabilities are not just beneficiaries of our work — they are its architects, leaders, and decision-makers.
Authentic Voice
Persons with disabilities on our Board bring direct, lived experience to decisions about strategy, programmes and partnerships.
Rights, Not Charity
We reject traditional charity models. Our leadership structures embody the rights-based approach we advocate for externally.
Accountability
Board-level representation of persons with disabilities holds the organisation to the highest standard of inclusive practice.
Careers, internships & volunteering.
