A society where every person with a disability is recognized, valued, and empowered.
LAMICARE DRO Uganda was born from a simple yet powerful collective vision: a society where every person with a disability is recognized, valued, and empowered. We saw a gap between the promise of equality and the reality of daily life for many in our communities.
Disability is not a barrier. It is part of human diversity. We work alongside persons with disabilities to break down barriers, advocate for rights, and build communities where everyone belongs.
Community-rooted. Rights-driven. Led by lived experience.
LAMICARE DRO Uganda is a non-governmental, non-profit, community-based organization operating in the heart of Uganda. We were born from a collective vision of a society where disability is not a barrier, but a part of human diversity.
We work alongside persons with disabilities (PWDs) to break down barriers, advocate for rights, and build inclusive communities. We are a community-based organization in Uganda dedicated to ensuring that every person with a disability is recognized, valued, and empowered to live a life of dignity.

Mission & Vision.
The two anchors that guide every decision, every programme, and every partnership.
To uphold the dignity of persons with disabilities through robust advocacy and awareness campaigns.
We challenge stigma and promote a society where their rights are respected, and they can live with full dignity and influence.
A society where persons with disabilities are empowered to fully exercise their rights.
We envision a Uganda where persons with disabilities live with dignity, actively lead, thrive, and shape their communities.
